About SuggestRSS
SuggestRSS is a way to explore potential subscriptions based on your current OPML. By submitting your OPML, your feeds are added to a database and compared with everyone else's. From there, we try to determine what feeds you might be interested in by checking to see how many times feeds everyone else subscribes to show up in related pools to yours.
You may be wondering why this site was put together, seeing as how Google Reader and Bloglines already offer feed discovery services. Well, I don't use Reader or Bloglines, and I was itching to play around with PHP a bit. I've been meaning to put this project together for a number of years, and while it may not come close to the complexity of Google, I had a blast building this initial version.
SuggestRSS exists for myself and everyone else who is looking for a few new feeds you haven't found yet. It's not limited to your aggregator, simply export your OPML, upload it here, and see if anything sparks your interest.
We've done our best to make the suggestions as targeted as possible, but don't get flustered if you see a quirk here and there.
About Version 1.0
As it stands, I like to reference SuggestRSS as being a version 1.0 application. That said, there is still a lot I'd like to do over the coming months. This new version brings official user accounts which allow you to omit particular suggestions from your results list in an effort to better cater to your specific taste.
The next work will be done on the algorithm itself, making slight changes here and there in an effort to make sure the suggestions are more than simply "run of the mill" or generic.
How to update my account OPML
If you'd like to upload a fresh OPML, you can re-upload your file via the registration/update form.
